Prospective school board candidates may visit the Illinois State Board of Elections website for information regarding School Board Elections.
Qualifications
To be eligible for election to the board, a person shall be a citizen of the United States, shall have been a resident of the district for at least one year immediately preceding the election, and shall not be a child sex offender as defined in Section 11-9.3 of the Criminal Code of 2012.

Filing Dates
Petitions must be signed by at least 50 qualified voters or 10% of the voters, whichever is less, residing within the district. Petitions can be filed with the county clerk from November 16-23, 2026.
