Wiley is a "PBIS" School
Wiley School helps students learn about and practice how to be safe, respectful, and responsible in order to make a healthy school in which to learn.
“Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports,” (PBIS) is a framework for developing strategies that help students learn good behavior. PBIS has been successful in many schools in Illinois and across the country because the PBIS approach to teaching and practicing good social skills relies on the same concepts that are used to teach academic skills.
The PBIS framework emphasizes mutual respect and good communication, resulting in a school culture where students learn more and feel less stress because everyone is respectful, responsible, and safe.
