Wiley Students Learn African Rhythms
This semester, Wiley is proud to welcome Moussa Bolokada Conde, Visiting Lecturer in the Center for World Music at the University of Illinois. He is master drummer, expert of Malinke rhythms, and one of world’s best djembe players.
First Day of School Welcome Under the Flag
The first day of school for Wiley Elementary students was Wednesday, August 18th. The students celebrated by gathering under the flagpole to recite their school pledge, The Pledge of Allegiance and their fight song.
Wiley Students Participate in Track & Field Day

Special Concert Blends Music, Film
Students were treated to a movie and music concert during their lunch hour on April 29. Music teacher, Dr. Jim Lyons, performed El Salon Mexico by Aaron Copeland.
Students Get Lesson in Music, Culture
An artist from the Ghana in West Africa wowed the students and staff at Wiley Elementary School Friday afternoon as he and other artists performed music and dance for the all-school assembly.
