No Dumping, Drains to Boneyard!

Urbana, IL

As part of a community service project, the UMS WaterWorks students worked with Urbana Public Works to install emblems on local storm drain inlets to inform the public that dumping chemicals in the drains pollutes our rivers. Three days of class time was used to install the signs and hand out door hangers in the neighborhood surrounding the school.

(Left) Brad Bennett of Urbana Public Works shows how the emblems are installed.
