Showing Evidence: Using a new Intel tool to make a statement

Issam H. Abi-El-Mona from the College of Education at the University of Illinois visited the class over the course of the semester to help the students form arguments for their community action projects. He introduced a tool developed by Intel called Showing Evidence which allows the students to organize evidence and research that supports a claim made by the students. The tool is web-based and was run on several computers that were donated by the U of I to the WaterWorks classroom.

Issam teaches the students about the importance of defining the problem, making a claim, and supporting the claim with evidence.
