You CAN make a difference: ReThink, Inc.

Urbana Middle School, Urbana, IL

UMS WaterWorks students were introduced to ways they can get involved in community projects by Carol Knepp with the Illinois Waste Management Research Center (WMRC) and ReThink Inc. The students were inspired about stories of young people taking action and forming not-for-profit organizations to clean up and protect the environment. The students were challenged by Carol to think of ways they can take action in their community and Carol agreed to return to the class over the course of the semester and help students realize their goals.

Carol Knepp from WMRC inspires the students with stories about young people making a difference.
