UMS WaterWorks at Engineering Open House
University of Illinois, Urbana, IL
To introduce the students to the University of Illinois campus and the engineering programs, UMS WaterWorks took a field trip to the U of I's Engineering Open House. The students visited the Ven Te Chow Hydrosystems lab, Mr. Jackson's mixing lab, and the structural engineering lab in the Civil Engineering department. In addition, they visited exhibits in the materials science and research lab, watched interactive experiments by physicists in Loomis Lab, and visited the general engineering building for other fun exhibits. The EOH visit concluded with a lunch in the student union building and a walk on the quad.
