Welcome to the Washington School Library

Our library is located in Room 8. Mary Ann Brown is the librarian and family literacy coordinator. Each classroom comes to the library weekly. They sing, read a book, and check out a book to share at home. You are always welcome!

Checkout

Each child gets one book per week.

It is due by the next library day.

Please help your child keep his\her book safe and clean.

Lost or Damaged Books

If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, send $10.00 to help buy a replacement.

Money will be refunded if the book is found and returned at a later time.

Thank you for your help!

Links to Literacy

A colored strip of paper titled "Links to Literacy" will come home in your child’s library book. After reading the book together, please fill it out and return to the classroom. Each room is making a colorful chain with them and counting the books our families have read. We are having a competition to see which class can read the most and get a pizza party from Papa John’s. Let your teachers know if you need more links.

Special Guest Reader

One of our parents, Miss Angie, is our guest reader for library classes on Tuesday, December 18th and Thursday, December 20th. Wednesday groups are scheduled for after the holiday break. She will share a story, music, dances and artifacts from her Native American culture. Come join us if you can!
