Resource for Science Education

Five UMS teachers, Don Owen, Kevin Erlinger, Lisa Nichols, Kristen Bokenkamp, and Pamela Van Walleghen participated in a four week Resource for Science Education (RSE) program sponsored by the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) in the summer of 1995. Along with fourteen other teachers from across the nation, we came together to discover how to integrate educational tools of the World Wide Web into our classrooms. The UMS project is an interdisciplinary unit on ground water called "Water Quality and Societies." Anyone may access the RSE projects on the web for use in their own schools and classrooms.
