In the Spring of 1996, students in Ms. Stambaugh's seventh grade science class
participated in an on-line MRI project with scientists from the University of Illinois.
They learned about chicken embryology by operating an MRI microscope over the
internet.
In the Spring of 1998, four
teachers, Ms. Stambaugh,
Mr. Erlinger, Ms. Morris,
and Ms. Van Walleghen joined Chickscope 98 to
expand on the classroom activities developed in 1996. In the
summer they participated in a one week workshop to complete inderdisciplinary units
of study including
Science, Math and Technology.
