Kevin Erlinger teaches eighth grade science. He began teaching at Urbana Middle School in 1989. He received a B. S. in Life Science Education and a M.E. in Curriculum, Technology, and Education Reform from the University of Illinois. Mr. Erlinger serves as regional director of Science Olympiad.

Jan Hari began teaching at Urban Middle School in 1989. She received a B.S. in Biology from Angelo State University and a M.E. in Curriculum, Technology, and Education Reform from the University of Illinois. Ms.Hari serves as Science Curriculum Coordinator and works with the GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math and Science).

Laura Hlinka teaches seventh and eighth grade science. She came to Urbana Middle School in 1990. She received a B.S. in Biology Education from the University of Illinois. Ms. Hlinka serves as Student Council sponsor and coaches Science Olympiad.
