The Red Spruce can be found in found in rocky, mountainous soil. The range of the Red Spruce Ontario east Nova Scotia, New England,North Carolina and Tennesse.The Red Spruce can get up to 50-80 feet tall. They have evergreen needles 1/2- 5/8 of a inch. The needles are long and stiff,with 4 angle sharp-points. They have dark reddish brown bark when the mature trunk is hard and firm and looks as if it was washed with gray the spruce is a common name of a genus of evergreen trees in the spruce family. Almost 40 different kinds of spruce are native to America.
