Contest - November 12, 2005
30 UHS students participated in the contest. Pictures
and Information
I.C.T.M. Regional Math Contest, Illinois Central
College in Peoria, 2/26/05
Artem Rogachev won first in the Geometry division, Fan
Huang won first in the Algebra II division, and Nathan Dornfeld
won third in the Pre-calculus division. The Geometry team
won second, the Algebra team won first, the 8 person junior-senior
team won first, the calculating team won second, the two-person
junior senior team of Boyoung Wee and Fan Huang won first,
and the orals division team of Patrick McCall and Shaofeng
Sun won first. Everyone on the team did an outstanding job.
The entire math team will go to the state contest, to be
held April 30 at the University of Illinois. Congratulations
to all!
Illinois Wesleyan University Math Contest, Bloomington,
3/5/05
The UHS Math Team had a number of students competing at
the Illinois Wesleyan University Math Contest at Bloomington.
Several students won honorable mention. The top winners
were: Duat Bui, second in the freshman-sophomore division
and Lucy Wang, first in this division, and Nathan Dornfeld,
third in the junior-senior division and Fan Huang, first
in this division. Congratulations to all - way to go Tigers!
