Our mission at Urbana High School is to support the District #116 Mission (see below) by providing every student with the opportunity to be successful in our changing world. We believe that all students should become responsible citizens, discriminating comsumers, productive employees, and effective community members. Specifically, Urbana High School will endeavor to develop the following in every student:

  1. Content knowledge; basic skills for 21st century life including the ability to utilize technology;
  2. Higher order thinking skills that include thinking critically, creatively, ethically, and independently;
  3. Skills to address change/to solve problems;
  4. Interpersonal skills/personal attributes/character
