OPAC (Library Online Catalog)
Type in a word or phrase for your topic and try a keyword
search. Also type in "Opposing Viewpoints",
"At Issue," or "Current Controversies"
and click on “Series.”
Online:
All our databases are on the homepage of the Urbana
High School Library. (User IDs /passwords are available
for home use.) Try the following:
Facts
on File: Issues and Controversies database.
Type in a word or phrase that describes your topic (e.g.
global warming, steroid use, or euthanasia). Note whether
it is sorted by date or relevance. Click on the “print/citation”
button to see how to cite it.
eLibrary
- an online database. You will need to enter
a user ID and password and then click on the button
that indicates "ProQuest/ eLibrary products. Next
select eLibrary. Type in a word or phase describing
you topic. Also notice that you can click on the Topic
menu to browse topics.
