• Concert Band competed at the University of Illinois
Superstate Competition in May 2007
• IHSA State Solo and Ensemble Contest held in March
at Milikin University:
31 solos or ensembles received “Division 1” ratings
with the following students receiving the “Best in Day”

The Urbana Bands are under the direction of Darren Hicks,
USD #116 Music Coordinator and Mark Day. Mr. Hicks directs
the Concert Band while Mr. Day directs the Tiger Marching
Band, the Jazz Bands, and the Symphonic Band.
