2012 3rd grade fashion show – Metamorphosis

Prior to the 2012 winter break, Prairie students were treated to Metamorphosis, an annual fashion show put on by the Prairie 3rd graders, under the direction of Fine Arts teacher, Rusty Clevenger.  With the help of a number of other teachers, the students made masks and costumes and told a story about transformation.

2012 Dual Language Farm Unit Open House

In October, 2012, the Prairie Dual Language classes held a Farm Unit open house for the students work.  All Dual Language classes participated in creating different works based on the farm theme.  A great time was had by all!

2012 Dia de los Muertos Celebration

November 30th, 2012

At a Prairie school-wide celebration organized by art teacher, Mr. Clevenger and music teacher, Ms. Claxon, students learned all about the Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead.

The 2nd grade classes created artwork for the offrenda, which was used as the backdrop for the celebration.  Students listened to a presentation about the holiday and saw exciting performances from Ms. Ellis, Ms. L.
