Urbana School District now on Twitter

Urbana School District #116 has launched a Twitter account that will allow students, parents, community members, and the media to follow news events in District #116.

"Twitter will allow us to communicate our message directly to all who follow us," says spokesman Mark Schultz. Urbana School District will inform the public of important announcements, emergency closings, and links to important and interesting news in the District.

The Twitter account is secure. The public can access the District #116 Twitter account at www.twitter.com and follow the District at "urbana116."
