UHS Basketball to Hold Annual “Hoopin’ for Hope” Game and Fundraiser
TweetOn Friday, February 17th, UHS will play against Champaign Central in varsity basketball at Urbana Middle School. This contest will also be UHS’s annual breast cancer awareness game, “Hoopin’ for Hope”.
During the game, the Urbana Basketball Boosters will be selling t-shirts, donation stickers, day planners, and 50/50 tickets to raise money with all proceeds donated to breast cancer research. The goal for this year’s fundraiser is to raise at least $1000. Shirts can be purchased ahead of time through the UHS administration office or at any UHS home game.
Monetary donations are also welcome, and checks can be made out to Urbana Basketball Boosters. Contact the UHS administration office or Jennifer Glass of the Urbana Boosters at 898-8061 for more information on how you can donate.
The evening will begin with the sophomore game at 6:00 pm, followed by the varsity game at 7:30 pm. Please come out to support the team and the fight against Cancer!
