What should I do if I suspect my child has a hearing loss?
Hearing is screened in the Urbana School District in Grades K, 1, 2 and 3 as part of the Public Health Hearing Screenings. Parents are informed of those screening results. Audiology services are provided free of charge to school age children in Urbana through CASE Audiology which is housed in the Early Childhood Center at 809 N. Neil Street, Champaign, IL. You can call CASE directly at 217-355-1214 or contact your school Social Worker or the Teacher of the Hard of Hearing and Deaf assigned to your child's school for a referral.
