Superintendent's Message Dear Students, Families and Friends,
Our goal is to educate our students to read, write, reason, and compute, in order to become responsible citizens, discriminating consumers, productive employees, and effective community members in a changing world society. We have outlined three very specific targets in order to reach our overall goal: Target One – We will improve reading performance for all identifiable subgroups of students so that there is an increase of at least 5-10% meeting or exceeding state standards as measured by a) ISAT/PSAE b) District assessments by the Spring of 2005 and by appropriate amounts in subsequent years to ensure adequate yearly progress, as measured by NCLB. a) White, non-Hispanic 5% b) Asian 5% c) LEP students 5% d) African-American 10% e) Low SES 10% f) Special Education 10% |
Students were exposed to a variety of scientific experiments this past month as Yankee Ridge Elementary School hosted Junior Scientist Day.
