Our recent Kindergarten Connections held at Lincoln Square and Urbana Early Childhood School was a success with 200 students registered for the kindergarten for the fall of 2017! However, we know there’s the possibility that some families may have missed the events and we’d like to help you with this process as soon as possible.
If you missed the Kindergarten Connection event and your child will be turning 5 on or before September 1, 2017, you are encouraged to go to your child’s school to begin the sign-up process. Not sure which school your child would attend? Please visit our Elementary Attendance Map at http://www.usd116.org/schools/elementary-attendance-areas/
The current times to visit each school are listed below:
At the school, the parent or legal guardian will complete the registration forms, sign-up the student for a July kindergarten screening, and receive FIVE new books and activity cards in a drawstring bag. Hurry in while supplies last! Also, Dr. Williams, Wiley, Thomas Paine, and Yankee Ridge will host an Open House for Families very soon, so please register so you and your child can attend the Open House. Starting the process now will help you to avoid the long “New Student” lines at Centralized Registration on July 27 & 28th.
