THE BUSINESS ASPECT OF ART - If you would like to gain knowledge of the business side of art, this is the class.  Deborah, a well known quilt artist, will facilitate discussion including the following topics:  marketing your work, portfolios, necessary computer skills, artist bios and resumes, the artist statement, venues, electronic portfolios, inventory strategies, copyright issues, accounting and other issues addressed by students.  Class begins Jan. 29.  Instructor: Deborah Fell.

STARTING YOUR OWN SMALL BUSINESS - This can be a creative option for the person who has a marketable service, product or idea.  In this two-part seminar, Debra Karplus, a person who has founded and operated numerous local businesses since 1974, will lead a discussion in advantages and disadvantages, logistics, marketing and legal aspects.  She will also present an informative video.  Class begins Feb. 6.

PERSONAL MONEY POWER™ - A Financial Fitness Training Program.  Would you like to improve your personal money management skills?  You’re not alone!  Personal Money Power™ teaches practical money management strategies to help you reach your financial goals.  This is a basic personal finance course teaching practical skills in budgeting, expense tracking and goal setting.  In addition, we will view and discuss the video “Affluenza,” a powerful film analyzing our consumer culture.  We’ll also discuss how emotions affect our spending habits.  Workbook included in class fee.  Class begins Apr. 1.  Instructor: Nancy Dietrich-Rybicki.
