This is a wonderful resource for middle school and high school teachers looking for lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and analysis. “The Reading Like a Historian curriculum engages students in historical inquiry. Each lesson revolves around a central historical question and features sets of primary documents modified for groups of students with diverse reading skills and abilities.”

 

Teaching a People’s History: Zinn Education Project

 

"The Zinn Education Project promotes and supports the use of Howard Zinn’s best-selling book A People’s History of the United States and other materials for teaching a people’s history in middle and high school classrooms across the country.
