Parents must register children for kindergarten April 24-25
[posted 4/9/08 - 4/25/08]
District 116 will hold kindergarten registration April 24 and 25 at all elementary schools for children entering kindergarten this August.
"This early registration is important in order for schools to plan for the number of kindergarten teachers and classrooms needed in the fall. It is also the time for families to schedule their child's required kindergarten screening appointment. At registration families will receive information about events that will be held in May. These events offer families an opportunity to visit their new school and to meet the teachers and other children that will attend kindergarten in the fall," says Kindergarten Transition Coordinator Dottie Davito.
Leal Elementary School's kindergarten registration - April 24.
All other elementary schools - April 25.
Parents will need to bring their child's birth certificate, proof of residence, and child's social security card to the kindergarten registration.
View the elementary school boundary map. For more information call the District 116 central office at 384-3600.
