To begin with, what do all the words mean?
The curriculum identifies what is taught in our classes. The curriculum is built around the Illinois Learning Standards – the desired results. The Standards help us identify what a student should know and be able to do by the end of Grade 12.
Instruction refers to HOW the curriculum is taught.
Ongoing student assessment provides us with the evidence that students are learning and are mastering what is taught in the classroom.
